Wenchi High Court Throws Out NDC’s Restraining Order Against Techiman South MP-Elect

The Wenchi High Court has thrown out an ex parte injunction application to restrain the Techiman South Member of Parliament-elect, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah.

The application which was filed by the National Democratic Congress(NDC) was refused by the High Court Judge, Fred Nawura on Tuesday, January 5, 2020.

The judge in his ruling ruled that it will be unfair to refuse the people of Techiman South a representation at the swearing-in ceremony.

According to the judge, the issues being raised by the NDC will be remedied once it was established that the election was not properly conducted.

“I shall refuse the Exparte injunction application. I think the people of Techiman South needs a representative at the swearing-in. To injunct the 1st respondent will be unfair. At the end of the trial, if it is established that the election was not done properly, I shall make my orders. I hereby refuse the application.”
