It has emerged that the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Engineers & Planners Co Ltd., Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, has not pardoned Ernest Owusu-Bempah over a court fine as has been widely speculated.
A statement from Rafik Mahama, an aide to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama has debunked such reportage in the media describing it as false.
According to Rafik Mahama, even though Owusu Bempah has officially issued an apology to his boss, the latter has not been invited to Mr. Mahama’s house for tea nor has he been pardoned.
The statement urged the public to disregard any such reportage as Mr. Mahama who has already taken GHC 107,000 with an amount of GHC203,000 still outstanding, is yet to take any decision in relation to the apology and the outstanding amount.
“Kindly disregard the story that went viral today with the headline: “Ibrahim Mahama invites ‘brother’ Owusu Bempah home for tea, pardons payment of GH¢203,000”. There’s no such invitation extended to Owusu Bempah after the apology was issued. An amount of GHC 107,000 has been paid so far with GHC203,000 outstanding.
“Mr. Ibrahim Mahama received an official apology from Owusu Bempah and apart from that, no further decision has been taken with regards to the apology from Owusu Bempah and the outstanding amount of GHC 203,000”.
