A senior police officer with the Legal and Prosecutions Unit in Ashaiman has died of gunshot wounds.
DSP/Mr. Divine Asiam per police details was found with a gunshot wound at his residence about 7:45 am on 14th February 2021.
He was reportedly sent to the Police Hospital for treatment but he died shortly on arrival.
A statement signed by the Acting PRO of the Tema Region, C/Inspector Stella Dede Dzakpasu reveals that investigations have started to unravel circumstances leading to the death of the officer.

The Tema Regional Police Command regrettably reports of the demise of DSP/Mr. Divine Asiam, an Officer with the Legal and Prosecutions Unit in Ashaiman.
He was found with a gunshot wound at his residence about 7:45 am on 14th February 2021 and was taken to the Police Hospital, but died shortly on arrival.
Investigation has already commenced to unravel the circumstances of his death. His family has also been informed.
