It has emerged that the management of Accra Academy has admitted a Rastafarian as a student of the school.
A picture making rounds on social media shows the Rasta student in full dreadlocks wearing the school uniform of Accra Academy.
The decision of Accra Academy to admit students with dreadlocks is at variance with the Achimota School who has rejected such students.
A parent, Ras Aswad Nkrabeah whose first-year son was refused admission today took to Facebook to share his frustration.
According to Ras Aswad Nkrabeah, his son was refused admission on the grounds that the code of conduct of the Ghana Education Service does not permit the admission of students with dreadlocks.
Meanwhile, the parent has vowed to seek redress in court.
