Akufo-Addo Orders All MMDCEs To Handover By May 20

All Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives(MMDCEs) across the country have been ordered to hand over, GhanaXtra.Com can report.

They are to hand over to their respective Coordinating  Directors by close of work Thursday, May 20, 2021.

No reason has been given for the decision directing them to hand over but this portal is reliably informed that the appointment of the MMDCEs is set to expire by May 25, 2021.

It however remains when the names of the new Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives will be announced by the president.

The announcement of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives(MMDCEs) has delayed as the president during his first term announced the list by 26th April 2017.

The delay has led to series of agitations among the rank and file of the party who have blamed the poor performance of the party in the 2020 election on the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives.
