Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of three persons in Abesim near Sunyani in the Bono Region.
The second suspect was picked up following police intelligence after the incident and subsequent arrest of one person.
This came to light during a visit by the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffu Dampare to the two families who lost their relatives.
Speaking to the media, the Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Alexander Kwaku Obeng indicated that the second suspect is in custody assisting in investigations.
“Two suspects in our custody, one you are aware suspect Appiah, the second one name withheld to help us with our ongoing investigation to unravel what, how, where they were involved in this heinous incident”.
He added that the remains have been moved to the police morgue in Accra for forensic pathologist analysis.
28-year-old Richard Appiah, a surveyor, and a footballer was arrested on Saturday 21 August 2021 over the suspected killing of three persons.
The suspect was arrested at Alaska near Abesim.
